Dave Meredith, Founder & CEO

Dave and his wife Glenda are long time residents of Alberta, choosing to raise their three children in Red Deer close to their favourite recreational places like Sylvan Lake for boating and paddle boarding in the summer and Gull Lake for ice fishing and snowmobiling in the winter. It was family planning that made Dave leave his career in the oil sands north of Fort McMurray to invest his life savings into starting up Alberta’s first mobile shredding company back in the mid 90’s. Since then, Dave has found success through hiring trustworthy and exceptionally loyal employees and ensuring that they, like himself, maintain a work life balance. Dave still enjoys just being in the Merlin trucks from time to time, just to check on his customers or provide relief for one of his drivers. Most customers of Merlin have met Dave more than once, but nearly none of them knew that he was the founder and owner of the business: that's just not Dave.
